In yet another phenomenal mooting achievement the NUJS team comprising of Kashish Satra (Class of 2024), Varun Garg (Class of 2024), Priyam Mittal (Class of 2024), Aarushi Mittal (Class of 2023) and Abhirup Manna (Class of 2025) have emerged as Quarter-Finalists at the prestigious John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition, 2021.
The John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition is a simulated hearing of the WTO dispute settlement system. The aim of the competition is to enhance knowledge of international trade law and WTO dispute settlement procedures. The world rounds of the 19th edition of the competition was held virtually from 23rd to 27th June, 2021. The NUJS team emerged as the 6th ranked team and Quarter-finalists.
The team from NUJS also emerged as semi-finalists in the South and West Asia Rounds of the competition. The team bagged the Best Overall Written Submission Award. Further, Kashish Satra (Class of 2024) was also adjudged as the Best Speaker in the semi-finals.
The team would like to thank their coaches Deepak Raju (Class of 2011) and Rishabha Meena for their constant support and guidance.
