We are pleased to share that Priya Garg from the Class of 2019 is going to pursue the Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) programme from the University of Oxford (Somerville College) this year. Towards this end, she has been awarded the Ratanshaw Bomanji Zaiwalla Law Scholarship by Oxford. Initially, she became two of the 90 students in the class of BCL to receive scholarship worth GBP 10,000 from the Jesus College (Oxford University) as well.
Further, she was offered admission in various other prestigious institutions across the globe, including the University of Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Science, New York University and University of California Berkeley Law. The Ivy League was not far behind either as she was selected by the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded the Dean Scholarship worth USD 10,000 dollars for pursuing her LL.M. in corporate/commercial law.
At NUJS, she was associated with NUJS Student Juridical Association, NUJS Law Review (NUJS' Flagship Journal), NUJS Legal Aid Society, among other committees and initiatives. To our pride, she credits much of her accomplishments to NUJS.
Her peers describe her as diligent, approachable, empathetic, and persevering. She is strongly influenced and guided by her faith in the ‘grand’ scheme of things.
We take immense pride in her achievements and wish her the very best for all her future endeavours.
