NUJS Qualifies to world rounds of Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Wins Best Oralist

In a phenomenal mooting achievement the NUJS team comprising of Anoushka Soni, Tasneem Zakir, Varunavi Bangia, Agastya Sen, Rohit Gupta, and Varun Garg have advanced to the world rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2020 by reaching the semi-finals of the National Rounds! The venue for the Competition was Amity Law School, Noida.

The other teams that qualified for the World Rounds were Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat, and National Academy of Legal Studies and Research, Hyderabad.

To add to the brilliance, Tasneem Zakir won the Best Oralist award and the team also received a Memo Citation!

The Philip C. Jessup International Law MootCourt Competition is the oldest and most prestigious international Moot competition in the world, attracting participants from almost 700 law schools across more than 90 countries, in recent years. It is named after Philip Jessup, who once served on the ICJ, and is organised by the International Law Students Association.
