NUJS team breaks into the round of 32 of the Vis Vienna Moot Court Competition

In a brilliant achievement in the arena of mooting the team consisting of Muskan Arora from the class of 2022, Agastya Sen from the class of 2022, Nikhil Singh from the class of 2022 and Istela Jameel from the class of 2023 have broken into the round of 32 in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition between the 13th and the 18th of April, 2019.


The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot or the Vis Vienna Moot is an international moot court competition. Since 1994, it has been held annually in Vienna, Austria attracting more than 300 law schools from all around the world and spurring the creation of more than 20 pre-moots each year before the actual rounds are held in Vienna. It is the largest moot in the world for its field and is considered a grand slam or major moot. The goal of the Vis Moot is to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for the resolution of international business disputes through its application to a concrete problem of a client and to train law leaders of tomorrow in methods of alternative dispute resolution.
