Adding further vector and variation to the University's excellent tally of acceptances at premier global institutes this year, Aditya Prasad of the Class of 2017 has been offered admission to the Masters in Management program at the London Business School.
The full time one-year management program at LBS receives application from more than 155 countries across the globe. The class, 95% of which is comprised of international students, attracts the highest performers from various reputed institutions and aims to broaden one's business skills, balancing in-depth theory with practical experience in the corporate, economic and financial worlds. It complements academic experience with real time exposure with frequent visits to leading institutions in New York, Silicon Valley, Hong Kong, Shanghai and a range of European destinations.
Aditya, who recently had a six months stint as a research assistant at the Centre for Alternative Finance at the Cambridge Judge Business School, was always keen about pursuing business after his graduation. He had earlier pursued research assistantships at IIM-Bangalore and had undertaken an exchange program at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
An avid debater and a former Co-Convenor of the University's Literary and Debating Society (LDS), Aditya feels that his time at NUJS helped him hone the analytical skills that is invaluable for a business program. On being asked what message he has for his juniors, he stated how important it is not to pigeon-hole what one can do with a legal degree to either a corporate firm job or an LLM. "A legal degree can be a base for a lot more things and it's really about identifying your passion and skill sets and not limit what you think you can do with this degree." he said.
On behalf of the student body, we applaud Aditya for taking the unconventional road and challenging the stereotype about the avenues after law school. We congratulate him on this phenomenal career decision and wish him the very best for all his future endeavours.
