NUJS enacts Policy for Persons with Disability 2022

On May 31, 2022, the NUJS Academic Council unanimously passed the NUJS Policy for Persons with Disability 2022. With the passing of this policy, we as an institution have taken a step forward to making the University Campus disability friendly and more accessible to persons with disabilities. The policy inculcates the values of reasonable accommodation, universal design, physical, digital, medical and academic accessibility, among others.

The policy also creates an Internal committee for Students with Disabilities and a Centre for Disability Rights and Equal Opportunities at NUJS which shall be overseeing its implementation at the ground level.

The Disability Project at Nujs began in 2019 and with the passing of the above policy, NUJS is proud to join the league of the few HEIs in India to have a dedicated policy for persons with disabilities.

The drafting committee consisted of Prof. (Dr.) Sreenivasulu N S, Prof. Vijay Kishor Tiwari, Chandrika Bothra (Batch of 2022), Prakhar Srivastava (Batch of 2022), Tanishk Goyal (Batch of 2023) and Vishwas Agarwal (Batch of 2023).
