NUJS emerges as 3rd best Mediator team in NLIU INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament

In yet another significant victory in the field of Alternate Dispute Resolution the university team comprising of Shresth Tomar, Roma Bhojani and Sreeja Sengupta emerged as the third best mediation team in the NLIU INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament 2018 conducted between the 23rd and the 25th of November, 2018.


The 7th edition of the NLIU INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament was conducted in continued association with the International Academy of Dispute Resolution (INADR) and in partnership with The Negotiation Academy, New York International Arbitration Centre, Indian Bar Association and Pine Law Partners. The competition witnessed training sessions conducted by Ms. Meghann Sweeney and Mr. Case H. Ellis where the participants were introduced to the structure of a mediation session and to the intricacies of mediation such as caucuses, opening statements, summaries, closing statements and general conduct during the session. The tournament comprised of three rounds of mediation, where each member played the role of client, counsel and mediator once.


Among the many awards the university won, Sreeja Sengupta emerged as the Best Mediator, Roma Bhojani emerged as the 3rd Best Mediato and Shreshth Tomar emerged as the 6th Best Mediator. They also emerged as the 3rd Best Mediation Team and the 9th Best Negotiation Team. The team comprising of Anish Ghosh, Bhavbhuti Pande and Ananya Agrawal were awarded the 7th Best Mediation Team prize.
