Class of 2020 Placements at NUJS.

The Campus Recruitment Committee (CRC), 2020, is proud to announce that the students of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata have again secured record placements across all National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country for the graduating Batch of 2020. A total of 119 job offers were made to the Batch with many students receiving multiple job offers. A total of 78 students accepted job offers excluding the students who had standing job offers but decided to opt for alternative career options. The average annual packages offered by foreign law firms ranged from INR 42-46 lakhs and by top domestic law firms ranged from INR 15-18 lakhs. Students joining companies in the role of in-house counsels received packages ranging from INR 12-14 lakhs. Keeping in line with the diversity exhibited by previous batches, students in the Batch of 2020 have also opted for a range of diverse career paths. These range from students opting for a career in the civil and judicial services, engaging in ground level policy initiatives, higher studies in foreign universities, amongst others.

Despite the pandemic, the record of the Batch of 2020 continues along the path of excellence that has been a hallmark of NUJS and its graduating students over the years. This could not have been possible without the immense support and trust that members of the CRC 2020 got from the Batch of 2020 as also, from the CRCs and RPCs of the previous and current batches. Equally, we remain grateful to our faculty advisor Prof. Mr. Anirban Mazumdar who has been a pillar of support. The entire process of recruitment would never have the success it remains without the guidance and support of the Vice Chancellor, the faculty and all administrative and non-administrative staff at NUJS. Our gratitude also goes out to the alumni in continuing to support the University through all these years.

The recruitment committee for the Batch of 2020 for the year 2019-20 comprised of Aditya Kumar, Aditya Rajagopal, Agreema Sanghai, Anirudh Goyal, Lakshya Thukral, Prakhar Mittal (Coordinator), Shreshth Tomar, Tejas Popat (Coordinator) and Vidushi Garg.
